Good morning,
I’m sharing the latest installment of our sister Substack publication, Angling Right, with you this morning. If interested in reading, subscribe below.
The Gist
Save the Wild West from Wind Industrialization.
This is the theme of my new CFACT investigation of 20+ proposed onshore wind projects in southern Wyoming. Red states aren’t immune to green energy enticements, even if they come at a cost to landscapes and wildlife.
I spoke to four stakeholders, namely those from the Albany County Conservancy, about their work opposing this crop of questionable wind projects—including the Rail Tie Wind Project.
Since filming this episode in July, the political landscape and tides have changed increasingly against wind and solar. President Trump signed an executive order - Temporary Withdrawal of All Areas on the Outer Continental Shelf from Offshore Wind Leasing and Review of the Federal Government’s Leasing and Permitting Practices for Wind Projects - essentially pausing new or pending wind projects. Now, this questionable industry is paralyzed. (Good!)
Trump’s action tilt the scales against government picking energy winners and losers.
Forewarning: things got a little bit Western in this episode. Please share far and wide if you think this content is important!
