Previewing Trump-Vance Energy + Conservation Policies
I joined Bloomberg Businessweek on behalf of Independent Women’s Forum to preview energy and conservation policies under the incoming Trump-Vance administration:
It was a livelyl but spirited debate with the hosts about oil and gas, nuclear energy, forest management, permitting reform, and Trump’s conservation legacy. I also didn’t hold back criticizing net-zero climate directives, overregulation, and unreliable energy sources a la solar and wind.
I’ve briefly written about Trump’s Environmental Protection Agency (former Rep. Zeldin) and Interior (Governor Doug Burgum) picks and think, even with some shortcomings, they’d be major improvements to those serving right now. There’s chatter that Trump could select Liberty Energy CEO Chris Wright as head of the Department of Energy. I’ll have a post responding to the eventual selection when it’s finalized.
Earlier this week, former Trump EPA Chief of Staff Mandy Gunasekara previewed what her former workplace should prioritize on my District of Conservation podcast. The conversation was reposted on my YouTube channel.
And yesterday, I joined The Vince Coglianese on WMAL News to preview how a Trump Interior Department under Burgum - who’ll also preside over the inaugural National Energy Council - will shape up.
Read this Substack, my IWF policy work, Townhall column, and listen to District of Conservation to stay updated on energy and conservation happenings over the next four years.

thanks for the update. what ever Mr. Trump does, he has to do it right the first time. There won't be time for do-overs. He has two years, maybe four to set us in the right direction.
As an aside, I thought the lady from Bloomberg was rather smug! Her concern about waste was so disingenuous, especially given the massive waste of turbine blades and solar panels that is yet to come.
