I’ve just returned from the 44th annual SHOT Show in Las Vegas, Nevada, after spending several days there learning about new products and interviewing newsmakers.

For you newbies out there, welcome to Outsider on the Inside. I hope this dispatch from in and around the nation’s capital on underreported topics finds you well.

Six Governors Address SHOT Show 2022 Forum

Up at Townhall.com today, I have a write-up about the SHOT Show 2022 Governors Forum. It’s the first of four columns from me in the works. It’ll be supplemented by accompanying videos and podcasts.

Featured speakers included Governor Kristi Noem (R-SD), Governor Brian Kemp (R-GA), Governor Asa Hutchinson (R-AR), Governor Pete Ricketts (R-NE), Governor Mark Gordon (R-WY), and Governor Mike Dunleavy (R-AK). Three listed panelists — Governors Greg Gianforte (R-MT), Brad Little (R-ID), and Kevin Stitt (R-OK) – weren’t present to deliver remarks.

The forum was held on Wednesday and moderated by Larry Keane, NSSF general counsel and SVP of government and public affairs.

I also secured one-on-one interviews with Governor Noem, former Interior Secretary Ryan Zinke, and former NV Attorney General and GOP U.S. Senate nominee Adam Laxalt.
