President Biden's Farewell Address: Negative, Underwhelming and Divisive
I won't miss the Biden Years.
I watched President Joe Biden’s Farewell Address so you didn’t have it. I’m sad to report it went as expected. Biden’s delivery was underwhelming and divisive. I’m relieved his four-year term is coming to an end.
He dedicated his address to warning us about a looming tech oligarchy, the so-called climate crisis, and Meta ridding of its flawed fact-checking program. I concur with Fox News host Dana Perino:
So, he's sitting there talking about all these things that he's done, and I'm just like, this rings hollow. To me, it felt like the speechwriters have already left the building, and that they asked Chad GPT to write a speech for Joe Biden, in which he doesn't remember that he was president for the last four years. If you ask people, are you better off today than you were four years ago?
The answer is no, except for maybe the solar companies and the Delta smelt.
What an indictment of his time in office. It’s no wonder he dropped out, and his co-pilot, VP Kamala Harris, lost to president-elect Trump. No self-reflection, no olive branch extended. Just pure demagoguing.
Mr. Biden failed to bring Americans together and pushed terrible “whole of government” policies that weakened us on many fronts: energy, national security, economics/small business, foreign affairs, and general freedoms. I’ve highlighted too many of them here on Substack.
History won’t look kindly on Biden’s tenure. He’s now the most unpopular U.S. President in history.
To friends and followers outside of America uneasy with President-elect Trump, let me assure you this: America will be stronger under Trump 2.0.
There won’t be chaos, regardless of what our media reports. Save for a handful of mainstream journalists, most in the DC and NYC press are untrustworthy and have lost the trust of readers.
Trump’s team is a lot more organized, and the majority of Americans now support his agenda. There will be an renewed emphasis on free enterprise, limited government, strong muscular national defense, and good ol’ American values. Tariffs, hopefully, will just be a bargaining tool and not actual policy. NATO isn’t going anywhere; it’ll become stronger. We’re not buying countries; it’s more likely we are reasserting ourselves, from a position of strength, in the Arctic, Panama Canal, and even in North America.
Policy-wise, I’m very excited about Trump’s energy and conservation agenda. Balance will finally return to Interior, EPA, and Energy.
I call balls and strikes, and will cheer good policies and constructively criticize bad ones. I’ve consistently held this position since Trump first emerged in politics in 2015/16. I was conservative before Trump, during Trump 1.0, will be conservative under Trump 2.0, and conservative post-Trump.
All things considered - taking into account his cabinet secretaries and early hires - I believe Trump 2.0 will be a net-positive for America.
It will be an exciting time in Washington, DC. America’s best days are ahead of us.
I’ll report back to you on pre-Inauguration festivities. Good night!
To even suppose Biden knew what he was saying...would be to suspend ALL reality. That guy doesn't even know when he shits himself, much less think he had any idea what he was talking about.
He passed that point about 3 years ago.
I could go on and on, but I'm pretty sure I made my point.
Thank you,
Sunny
