Net-Zero Hysteria Deflated at Davos 2026
Climate Depot publisher Marc Morano recaps his trip to WEF in Switzerland.
There was a different mood at this year’s World Economic Forum summit in Davos, Switzerland.
Instead of “you will own nothing and be happy,” there was a different tone among Davos speakers - including top CEOs and world leaders. In relation to energy, speaker after speaker didn’t embrace wind, solar, and the accompanying net-zero agenda.
President Trump brilliantly demolished net-zero policies during his keynote address:
The consensus was that so-called dirty jobs and heavy industry should be sent elsewhere, that affordable energy should be replaced by the Green New Scam, and that countries could be propped up by importing new and entirely different populations from far-away lands.
This was the path that ‘sleepy Joe’ Biden administration and many other Western governments very foolishly followed, turning their backs on everything that makes nations rich and powerful and strong – and there’s so much potential in so many nations.
Notably, Honeywell CEO Vimal Kapur discussed the renewables “joule gap” and rightfully highlighted their vast shortcomings beyond low electricity output (watch at the 25 min mark):
"They are very energy-intensive... It's physics... Renewables remain in the mix, but it cannot bring the amount of joules we need to produce this infrastructure which is required in the world."
Climate Depot publisher Marc Morano, who has long kept tabs on the climate agenda, participated in Davos festivities and reported his findings back to me on District of Conservation this week. Marc is a frequent guest on TV programs.
