Good afternoon,
For you newbies out there, welcome to Outsider on the Inside. I hope this dispatch from in and around the nation’s capital on underreported topics finds you well.
If you’re just discovering my musings, here’s a backgrounder and make sure we’re connected on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and YouTube.
Alaska for First Timers Part 1: Juneau
The first of two Alaska vlog installments I’ve promised is finally OUT.
The first video focuses on southeastern Alaska - namely Juneau and Douglas.
Alaska was the 49th state accepted into the U.S. in 1949. Juneau, the state capital, is the largest U.S. state capital by territory and popular destination for tourists. It’s also home to the vast and impressive Tongass National Forest.
Notable spots you’ll see referenced in the video:
Downtown Juneau
Mendenhall Glacier
Goldbelt Tram
Town of Douglas
St. Therese Shrine
