Standing with Israel
The choice is abundantly clear: I stand with Israel. And it is an easy choice to make.
I have extended family residing in Israel and many of my close friends here in the U.S. and elsewhere do too. Israel has welcomed many people - Jews, Christians, and Muslims - into their nation and embraced them as citizens. The same can’t be said for Gaza. When I was a college student at UC-San Diego, I organized this talk when I saw my classmates deride and defame Israel.
Israel has tried to live in coexistence, but the favor hasn’t been returned. Last Saturday’s terrorist attack was a turning point. Israel now must defend itself and repel this evil group.
Hamas is a terrorist organization that deserves no sympathy—only condemnation. One of its followers murdered one of my relatives in 2001. It uses civilians as human shields. The group’s followers murder babies, rape women, and kidnap elderly people. This is why I support Israel. You should too.
