Good evening,
I’ll be working out of Orlando, Florida, this week to attend and cover ICAST - the largest sport fishing trade show out there.
ICAST stands for the International Convention of Allied Sportfishing Trades and is hosted by the American Sportfishing Association (ASA), a great organization based in my town. Some affectionately refer to it as the Super Bowl of fishing tackle. And they’re not wrong.
I last covered the show in 2018 and have missed attending these past few years. Since that time, I’ve honed my filming and writing chops. And yes, I know my way around a trade show these days.
What kind of content can you expect from me? I’ll be delivering on a video recap of the trade show with product reviews, special event coverage, and interviews. And I’ll convert conversations into podcasts and likely any political-ish developments for a Townhall column. All to be posted here on Substack.
To gear up for ICAST, I just published a belated recap of my monumental bass fishing trip at Lake Marion in South Carolina from this past May. It was in conjunction with POMA Annual Meeting.
Enjoy!
