What is District of Conservation?

District of Conservation is a podcast highlighting the incredible conservationists who thrive and survive deep in or around "The Swamp." These are the policymakers, storytellers, trailblazers, and hardworking folks who go unnoticed but shape this region—whether they live or work here. In addition to guests, the podcast will also cover difficult and even controversial conservation public policy matters and news.

I launched the podcast in September 2018 after noticing a void in this niche of podcasts. One, few openly-conservative hosts were at the helms of podcasts. Two, very few women were tackling this genre. And with my unique position near the nation’s capital, Washington, D.C., I could offer a different perspective departing from conventional hunting and fishing podcasts.

Since launching, I’ve hosted prominent outdoor and political voices including Townhall Editor/Fox News Contributor Katie Pavlich; Governor Kristi Noem (R-SD); Senator-elect Cynthia Lummis (R-WY); outgoing Colorado Senator Cory Gardner (chief architect of the Great American Outdoors Act); Outdoor Channel host Nick Hoffman; TV host Jana Waller; environmentalist Michael Shellenberger; hunting guide Mia Anstine; Reps. Westerman, Wittman, Marshall (now Senator-elect from Kansas); Wyoming First Lady Jennie Gordon; Interior Secretary David Bernhardt; and countless others.

And going forward, more high-profile and unique guests are lined up to come on and speak with me.
