Meet Culpeper Battlefields
Yesterday, I had the pleasure of attending a dedication ceremony for Virginia’s new state park: Culpeper Battlefields in Culpeper, VA. The Virginia State Parks system - established on June 15th, 1936 - is housed under the Department of Conservation and Recreation.
This new park is the 43rd park and is slated to open on July 1st, 2024. Eventually, this site will grow to 2,200 acres.
Governor Youngkin was made an honorary Virginia State Park ranger after being bestowed with a flat hat.

Governor Youngkin even fired a cannon in honor of the park’s dedication.
