I Snuggled With Bear Cubs
Yesterday, I shadowed a bear den study. It was five years in the making. And it was worth the wait.
I joined the elite “Bear Cub Snugglers” club. Not many people, outside of bear/wildlife biologists, get to intimately interact with them. I’m one of those lucky ones.
Bear den studies are chiefly funded by the Partner with a Payer program affiliated with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service’s (USFWS) Wildlife and Sport Fish Restoration program. I’ll report more about this under-appreciated program when I publish my findings in the coming days.
I’ll have a full-length video report at YouTube by next Friday, along with an accompanying Townhall article then and a District of Conservation episode this upcoming Monday previewing the experience.
