Speaking Tour Kicks Off in North Carolina
One gig down, six more to go on my Spring 2022 speaking tour!
Earlier today, I returned from a quick trip to North Carolina. I kicked off my speaking tour at Appalachian State University in Boone. (And I also got to tour my friend’s firearms company warehouse outside Charlotte.)
I spoke on the topic “Conservation is Conservative” and offered conservation solutions to environmental problems. I’ll be delivering this same talk at Florida State University and Michigan Technical University next Thursday and on March 24th, respectively. Who knew this topic would be in such high demand. Ha!
Here are some photos from the event:

Live Happy! Episode (ft. Yours Truly)
From Natural Life’s blog:
Our latest LIVE HAPPY! mini documentary features Gabriella Hoffman (@gabriella_hoffman), a freelance Media Strategist based in the Washington DC metro area. Patti’s daughter Madison (@itsmadisonhughes) had the opportunity to work closely with Gabriella over the last year producing films together. They formed a special relationship, and we couldn’t wait for Madison to create a LIVE HAPPY! mini documentary on Gabriella.
Gabriella works primarily in politics, but is also an award-winning Outdoor Writer. She has been writing since she was 15 years old, but her writing career really took off about 10 years ago when she started to work on Capitol Hill as a Reporting Intern. Within the span of the last 10 years, Gabriella has had awesome opportunities to be able to sit down and talk with heavyweight politicians, newsmakers, and business owners. Because of her vast experience, Gabriella is in a position where she can craft narratives and tell untold stories.
For Gabriella, writing is a way she expresses herself. Early in her writing career, Gabriella didn’t like the English language and struggled with grammar and syntax. She says, “I got the confidence from a teacher in the 9th grade, and my writing through the years has drastically improved. It really does give you a voice.” Finding a way to express your voice is extremely important… we believe you should always be yourself and do what you love!
